Midlife and Death:

A Reconciliation

a 4-week course in embracing your mortality with Rachel Astarte, LMFT

You strive to make your life your own.

Your death deserves the same attention.

This course will not teach you how to die, but it will help you craft a relationship with death that is purely yours.

No one wants to talk about death.

Yet we all know that death is a part of life.

Let's meditate on it.

Let's talk about it.

Let's write about it.

Through guided meditations, writing exercises, deep discussions, and personal explorations between classes, you will—

  • delve into the taboo nature of death
  • come to terms with mortality
  • consider the afterlife
  • learn about “dying well”
  • understand how your life purpose informs your purposeful death

Most importantly, you'll craft an end-of-life plan that celebrates your individual life.

Avoiding mortality can look like this >>

01

Depression + Helplessness
As you age, your death seems like a looming darkness, depleting life's joyfulness.

02

Fear
"If I talk about it,
will I manifest it?"

03

Grief
As those close to you begin to die, your pain feels too overwhelming to process.

04

Loneliness + Isolation
It seems no one wants to talk openly about death, yet you long for an open-hearted community to share with.

“Rachel is a skilled, authentic, generous guide who offers helpful insights. The guided meditations and related reflections are so revealing and helpful, and sharing with others in the group feels validating and inspiring.”
